Sergio Corbucci's 1966 original starring Franco Nero. A film that offers a surreal blur of extreme violence and extreme beauty. Tarantino (always willing to pay homage to his influences) has created a Django for the 21st century. Whether that's a good or bad thing I'm not sure.
